By installing or using AutoSpend you agree to these terms. They are deliberately short, and nothing in them takes away rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
Licence
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use AutoSpend on devices you own or control, for private or business record-keeping. You may not resell the app, redistribute modified copies, or attempt to bypass its purchase checks.
Purchases
AutoSpend is free to install and includes optional Pro access, sold as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app in your local currency before you confirm.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the store charges the renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- Managing or cancelling happens in your store account — iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions; Android: Play Store → Payments and subscriptions. The app cannot cancel a subscription for you.
- The lifetime purchase is one-time and does not renew. It stays with the store account that bought it and can be restored on your other devices with the same account.
- Payment, invoicing and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own terms. Refund requests go to the store, not to me — though if a defect is the reason, write to me first and it will usually be fixed faster than a refund is processed.
Prices may change for future purchases and renewals. Where the law requires it, you will be notified before a renewal at a new price and may cancel.
Your data and your backups
AutoSpend stores your records on your device — see the privacy policy. Because there is no server copy, keeping backups is your responsibility: use Settings → Backup before changing devices, resetting a phone, or uninstalling. Deleting the app deletes its data.
What the app is not
AutoSpend is a record-keeping tool. Its calculations — fuel economy, totals, cost per distance — are derived from the entries you make, and are provided for your own information. They are not financial, tax, legal or mechanical advice, and reminders do not replace the maintenance schedule set by your vehicle's manufacturer.
Availability and changes
The app is provided as it is, with no promise that every feature will remain unchanged or that it will work on every device or OS version. Features may be added, changed or retired between versions; where a change would remove something you paid for, existing purchases keep their access.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, liability for indirect or consequential losses — including lost records, missed maintenance, or costs arising from decisions made using the app's figures — is excluded. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Consumers in the EU and UK keep their statutory rights in full.
Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. If these terms are seriously breached — for example by tampering with purchase verification — the licence ends.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. If you are a consumer, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence, and bring proceedings in your local courts.
Apple-specific note
Where AutoSpend is obtained through the App Store, this licence is between you and Kostiantyn Markovych, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for it. The licence covers use on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules of the Apple Media Services Terms.
- Warranty. Should the app fail to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price of the app to you. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation whatsoever with respect to the app.
- Claims about the app. Kostiantyn Markovych, not Apple, is responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app or your possession and use of it — including product liability claims, any claim that the app fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims arising under consumer protection or similar legislation.
- Intellectual property. If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, Kostiantyn Markovych, not Apple, is solely responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim.
- Export compliance. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Third-party terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms of agreement when using the app.
- Beneficiary. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, upon your acceptance, have the right to enforce them against you.
